Modern Appliances

I envisioned Cafe Appliances in the space right away. We’ve loved collaborating with them on this room, and hope you love the final project too.

The Start: Our planning started 3 years ago. I remember being blown away when the Cafe Appliances came on the market. The first time I saw them was in an amazing white kitchen on Pinterest. They had an old world, European feeling, but with a modern, fresh take. I hadn’t seen matte finish like that, and wanted to create something as stunning, but in our signature black.

Choosing the Finishes: With all the natural wood in the cabin, we wanted the cabinets to be dark. We went with a matte black stain, in person, you can see the grain of the wood. We choose brass for the faucet and custom hood. Seeing all these elements together, we carefully picked the appliance finishes. Matte black for the fridge and dish washer, and silver for the double oven. The stove now comes in matte black too, but I like breaking up all the black cabinets with the stainless steel. We’re really happy with our choices. and wouldn’t change anything.
